well, someone selling it on luther musicworks , a epiphone hofner bass copy ,
i suppose u could call it up and check up on it.
of the hofner bass copies , apparently epiphone has the most "original"
in fact , the hofner viola bass , was a copy of the viola shape EB-0 that epiphone originally made. so the epiphone one would be the "authentic" one.
