JASON CARTER at the Singapore Art Cafe (Sep 13)

hi everyone! Acclaimed British guitarist Jason Carter will play at the Singapore Art Cafe on Sep 13 (Wed) from 8pm till 8:45pm. And before him will be opening acts Benjie from Filipino powerhouse Quiverpool and local guitar maestro Randolf Arriola. This GOT! (Gathering Of Talents) Open Mic will begin about 7:05pm. Artiste Bio

British world guitarist Jason Carter has been playing guitar since the age
of 9. He is predominantly self-taught but has attended master classes with
guitarists John Williams and Paco Peña at the Royal Academy of Music.

His style is an eclectic mix of Flamenco, Jazz and Classical Guitar, and
this has been demonstrated through the wide range of CDs that Jason has
produced for Sony, EMI, ASV and ARC Music. From original solo guitar
compositions, to Indian / Arabic Fusion, Classical Chamber Music, Jazz
arrangements and Techno / Dance Music with DJs.

Jason has also appeared alongside Larry Coryell, Trilok Gurtu and
Hapriprasad Chaurasia on the ARC Music Compilation 'Crossing Borders', and
recorded with artists such as Nick Beggs, Phil Keaggy, Máire Brennan and
Hossam Ramzy.
 
Once again tanx to Jonathan from Arts cafe it was a cosy gathering earlier and it was fun meeting and playing for the fellow talented folks. Benji's got neat vocal stylings and Jason nylon guitar work was breathtaking! Lovely! More of such in the near future please! :)

Randolf, your style of music was awesome. i think all of us were held breathless as you built layer upon layer for "The Library" number. and thanks again for dedicating moi that U2 classic. James, glad you came to catch Jason in action. Mesmerising, wasn't he? yeah... and like you, i'm also looking forward to The Embryo's CD. Come launch it at the SAC when its out, bro Randolf :)
