japanese strats

The Jap Fenders have done some odd, non-vintage things before. I used to think they wouldn't, but they did come out with humbuckers and 22 fret guitars some time back (late 90s-00s).

AFAIK from their 2007 series there isn't any HSS config except on aerodyne strats.

[On a sidenote, anyone saw the bound bodies on those teles? Looks damn sweet.]

I just found this.

Fender Japan have a ST-72 SSH with locking trem. But I think it's only exclusive to this store in Japan.

hmm i used to have an MIM strat similar to what LEMONed_Z posted.. but the floyd rose isn't very functional cos there's no cavity for it.. you only get to whammy up a very slight bit before the base plate presses against the body.. diving of course isn't an issue though..

the H1 is American, listing for $1,450. can't remember if ebenex still has the final piece because they were clearing it for like $900+/-... worth it IMO.

Because thats highway1 series, not american series. =P

But if you want a more proper explanation..... it's the differences between the two guitars.

to know more about the H1, do refer to the review. the H1 is the most affordable american fender, after reading the appraisal, you'll know better. the reason ebenex selling cheap- clearance...

if i get a fat strat, how do i match the humbuckers to the singles?lets say a duncan custom in the bridge

it depends on your playing/ tonal needs.

some people make it a point to match the single coils to the high output humbucker. some people keep the single coils vintage/ moderate output as these sound more appealing clean/ with crunch settings.
