Japan Rock/Metal

Yes.

But seriously, Pata is pretty much filler/playing simple stuff in the Aikawa Nanase band. Which is a shame, he's such a good guitarist.

finger tired liao, cannot play too chim stuff. or maybe he play chim stuff until sian.

I attribute it to the fact that he's playing 2nd fiddle to Friedman. Skillwise, I suspect they're not that far off from each other. Nanase's songs don't feature 2 lead guitars as per X Japan most of the time, but you still can hear Pata harmonize with Friedman on some of the songs that require so.

Also, Friedman had been working well with Nanase for quite a while prior to the super band thing, so it makes sense for Friedman to be taking the solos.

You cant really compare like this, each rock-star got his/her glory days just like soccer stars too, rooney is in his best form at man utd whereas owen glory days in liverpool is over and stucking in newcastle...

i prefer softer flowing melodies and rock.the following bands i will be introducing might not be quite heavy enough for u all but anyways, give it a shot alright?

like this band, called Acidman, who are rather "uncommon" to many.
here's afew of their songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oQKkZSFslo (more mellow)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGM7m9PdsuA (more rock)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_oKZCBCzus (in-between)

another band - Sparta locals
also another "ulu" band that most probably no one heard before but they have some nice tunes too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvU_YD640-Y (very catchy tune, singer not too good at raising his voice though)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5PNhs2-brA (also nice tune)

i think that all these songs are very nice (IMO),these songs might not be of everyone's liking, but i hope u all enjoy this music together with me too :)
i like to find bands which are rather not that popular but produce nice unique tunes which are very catchy

and there are also bands such as l'arc en ciel and asian kung fu generation
which are one of my favs.

Bands to recommend? Well, just to name a few...

Dir en grey
LUNA SEA
L'Arc~en~Ciel
GLAY
Siam Shade
Karma-Shenjing
X JAPAN
hide
deadman
Laputa
Moi dix Mois
Onmoyouza
Plastic Tree
Kagrra,

no one here listens to Seikema II?

they're one of the best rock/metal bands in the history of japanese metal/rock man!

IMO, Loudness is nothing compared to them.

But no doubt Loudness is good.
haha

Anyway, just my 2 cents

I_M_Ken

I think you might have to retract that statement as Loudness was the band who propelled the Japanese bands into the western market, had chart topping hits in the billboard and Akira being revered by them.

No band is better than the other for any other reasons, no need to say till like they're worth nothing imo

lidat loudness manager shud get a pat on the back for marketing them so well.. but theres always anthem.. mostly ex loudness players..
