jamming for drummers

ME I LIVE IN THE WEST TOOOOOOO :D . hahas .. eh starvingartists jurong east there got jamming room ah ? .. can tell me the rates ? .. location ? website ?

anyway i have no complain cause i use a ELECTRONIC DRUM :D LOLS .. put earphone no one can hear anything ..
occasionally blast it on my speakers but of course in the morning lah .. at night comfirm kana scolded one hahas
 
Marc, nowadays, most of the newer flats has bomb shelter in their homes. It's not for drums of course haha. But I think it should be very much softer if it were to be in a bomb shelter.

yeah its not meant to put anything actually... but its my house lah so they also lan lan. and yeah, the sound is very much softer inside. only bad thing is that it gets hot inside after a while, and the sound is very harsh, so ear protection inside is a MUST. and im not talking about ear plugs... i'm talking about isophones.

Hey fellow Drummers!

Guess what? Our jamming studio also offer the space to practise and also to fellow musicians who wish to get together for one to one music exchange with their fellow pupils or friends.

For this category, the rates are at $10 per hour which includes a few amenities such as free soft drinks, a cd player and PA system ( head phones also incl.) and also fellow in house musicians that you can jam with for the fun of it all at no extra cost.

Bring in your fellow bassist or guitarist to jam and its still at $10. (Unless its a complete setup of a band that the rates go back up $14 ya?..:)

hey there ashraf, martin and guys!!! good to see you all here ;)

fellow softies, if you're on the lookout for jamming studio or want a change of venue for fun or try out sometimes, please do check out music garage jamming studio.

personally, i find the studio comfortable and well-equipped. i'm not saying this because i'm part of the MG family, i believe good stuff can and will stand on its own merits.

so, please don't feel obliged, but give the studio a try out, and if you do check it out, do review it for other fellow softies, and feedback the studio owners if you think there are areas they can improve on. THANK YOU!

Alvyn, can understand la. That thing is like a airtight container. I think you might suffocate if you stay inside for too long. Poor air ventilation. Try putting a fan inside?

Yup, I placed a fan inside for ventilation.

Well, tbh its a price i'm willing to pay. The ability to drum and practice to my heart's content (or until it gets too damn hot to continue), over a bit of discomfort is worth it anyday man.

Much better now lar. Haha moved to hall in university already, so I get to practice on the hall's drumset in the band room.
 
heh, thank goodness i'm sandwiched in between 2 neighbours who drum as well.

i stay in the west too! and the jamming studio is near the jurong east sports complex, it's one of the those shophouses opposite chinese garden mrt. not sure if it's the same one ya'll are talking about though. anyone tried out that place before?

coz the only jamming place i know in the west is sengchai.. at jurong east central...
anyway, i live in jurong west st 51, nearby RD's place too...

maybe one day i can check that place out.....
and its better if you can gif us the address or the place's name.....
 
heh i dont know leh, i was whizzing past in a cab when i happened to see it. i can check it out if i go there for dinner this wk.

oohhh i see! i stay at lakepoint condo, behind lakeside mrt. nearby some mega huge cisco building. whoa i didnt know there were this many drummers staying the west side. reubs DH KB you RD. i thought most of the drummers are easterners.

anyway alvyn, which uni!

i know where is the place .. but never been there... apparently it just opened lah.. so now shengcai has rivals in business.. haha

anyway, regarding the elusive chinese garden jamming studio, i got my dad to drive slower so i could see the name of the studio. all i saw was this mega huge X followed by jamming studio. so i'm guessing it's called "X JAMMING STUDIO". their number was up on the poster thingy as well, didnt catch it though, maybe will drop by tmr since i'm on holidays now.

heh what quit school what buy you Ks :p I also want more Ks... yamaha restocked their zildjians btw, we have more Ks now! but lacking in hats lah. sian.

oh yah shameless plug here, but 14" newbeats + 16" med-thin crash + 20" med ride, all avedis line, going for $700 only sia. I think the ride + hats alr $700.

anw, studio wise i kept forgetting to post. tiet studio offers drumming rooms i think. studio 1...
