hi! i was wondering is there a place for a drummer to jam? instead of a band jam together, just a drummer itself where he/she can jam for fun or pratice,if there is,where is the location and how much did it charge? thank you...

Joeyuz 1st os all, welcome to Soft I see this is your 1st post). A couple of question, are you a fresh new drummer? or had been drumming for quite some time?.

To be specific - you actually need a place to practice your drumming correct?...

hello there, yup this is my 1st time posting and yeah i've playing drum for somtime,i dont have a drum kit and yes,i need a place to practise my skill,do u have somting u want to share?

Look out for our Next Drumming Meet-up in April..come to the meet-up and maybe you get what you want (a place to pratice) at very resonable price.....

Just look out at our Thread comes 2nd April (not April Fool Day)

Hi there, besides Four Tones, are there other studios who provide drum rental? Am also looking for place to practice.
Thx in advanced! :D

The last time I went Swee Lee, I couldnt find their jamming room anymore. So I guess at the time of posting, it does not exist. Haha.

No lah, I think he was referring to the Swee Lee Sims Drive Showroom.

150 Sims Drive #02-00.Singapore (387381)

There were some jamming rooms when I was last there, around year end last year.

Check with RD lah, last I recall, he has his lessons there with Tony.

I jam at Boon Studios just two minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT, they provide all the equipment, just bring your CD with drumless tracks and hook up into the PA system, prety cool studio!

i was doing my school project on enterprising.

was thinkin of an idea, hoping it would be great if u guys could give me more ideas.here's the idea of my project:

1.) to set up a drum cafe.

-my idea came about from the drum meetup u guys have.was thinkin it would be great if thr's a place where u all could gather and exchange skills and mean time, to enjoy food and beverages. hence, thr can be more meetups among u guys?and place wont be a problem?

-the cafe includes a drumset. and perhaps mini drum clinics could be put in place and wont it be more interactive?

please give comments or ideas to improve this.
if thr's such a cafe? would u guys patronise?

thanks

hi DG,

the idea is great *thumbs up* i wld definitely hang out there!

any chance of this actually happening for real? :D

Drum cafe hmm, not bad. great idea.

but woulnt it be too loud for those who are drinking/eating?

Unless, everyone there is a drum enthuasist. So they wont mind.

its a good idea tho...

Bro DG

That was an idea, my friend told me a year back, but their drums are Conga, Bongo, Djembe etc.....they wanted to set up something like this....a Drum Cafe.....

Are you doing a project on this area? If so that's great - The drums cannot be only (our kind of 5pc drum kit alone) must include other or any types of drums - or else can go POK-KAI one because drumming community is small here.
