Hello Softies!

I'm doing a school project about the jam studios in Singapore called 'The Tipping Point'. It's about factors that causes an epidemic which makes a company tip. So please help me! It'll help alot in grades and maybe for a business project next time too! =)

I know that you guys jam alot and have much experience in music related questions. I thank you in advance.

If it's possible, can you guys copy and paste into MSword or your e-mail and send the answers back to my e-mail account? If everyone were to copy and paste in the thread my eyesight will shoot to 2000 degrees. Haha.

Oh, before I forget, my e-mail is: ale79673@hotmail.com

Thank you again.

1: What's and ideal location in Singapore for a jam studio? Irregardless of where you are located. And is a food outlet nearby the studio important?

2: How many rooms do you feel a jam studio should have?

3: What's the maximum per hour charge you are willing to pay?

4: At your current favourite jam studio, what keeps you going back?

5: What can your current favourite jam studio improve on? Or what does it lack?

6: Hey drummers, what's an ideal drumset (how many pieces?) to have in a studio? Considering budget la! =)

7: Hello guitarist! Let's say there's a room that allows you to store your heavy heavy pedalcase(idunnowhatyouhave) in the studio. It will be locked and ONLY the owner will hold the keys. Will you use it?

8: Do you think it's necessary to have an acoustic amps in the studios?

9: Greetings keyboardists! How many keyboards would be nice to have in a jam studio? 2 or 3?

10: What add-on services a studio should have? And why so?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's the end! I thank you for your time! With your help I'll definately top the class! Haha! =D

Regards and many thanks,
Alvin Tham

as with all users who request help on their project work, my question to you is, "Will you share your final report with us?"

i hope your hard work will not just generate a grade for you but help us all understand the music industry better.

thanks.

If you did have one of those lockers u said, i would definitly use it but not always. Im willing to let go $20 per hour if the studio is fantastic.

My favorite at the moment is L cube studios, but before that was soundmix. they both had similar qualities, where by one of the studios is very very spacious, yet at the same time still brings together a very good sound so that everyone can enjoy a good jam with good levels. So good acoustic treatment to the room is definitly neccesary, and your budget for that, depends on how much concern you have for the jammers that will visit. but for me its all about first appearances. if it looks run down and sound crap the first time im never going again!

Cheers
