hearing is one thing but you have to know whether setting up a floating trem is something you are willing to do in a long run. it's not a bad thing. I love floating trems. once you know how to do it right, it doesn't become a problem anymore.
also, the way you tune a guitar is going to be different. be prepared to do that.
well to me , it's a pain in the ass, if you are a beginner , i suggest you not try a FR guitar. as you would be trying different string brands and different gauges with different tunings.
