Jackson guitars

i dont remember seeing jacksons in singapore... only 1-2 units in some of the guitar stores i visited... i wanted to try the jacksons.... if mark morton is using one , i think it should be quite good... :)
 
Hell yeah... I was able to get a soloist from the sale... It is a nice guitar with soaring high output sigle coils...

I am fast becoming a fan of Jackson guitars... will post pic of my baby soon... stay tune...
 
jacksons are damn sexy.

My mate in sydney has a couple. his main one is a randyrhoads sig with slayer autographs on it. Kerry even played on it. I'm hoping to buy it from him when i move back

Is it the one with a licensed floyd?
 
I am not sure which year it was made but must be old... cos I found it all dusty in swee lee but upon close inspection, it was flawless... haha...even the internal cavity is well painted...and no one even take a second look at it.

Got this at City Music. Had a crack in the body but covered it up with some black tape. Hahah.






Bridge pick up has been changed to PRS Dragon II Treble. The knobs also. Took the DS-1 knobs and switched them with the original black ones. Hahah.

And oh. It's a JS-1.

Teehee.
 
newguy did you buy the black soloist? or was it a dk2. i just ordered dk2m online still waiting for it to come in. my main giging axe is a rr3 as of now
 
Didn't see the black soloist... I bought the dark red soloist which look like flame maple top to me (could be a veneer).

Lol... thanks man... It feels good playing it yet wierd cos of the scale length difference. I used to use a 24" scale guitar...

How's your RR3? Did you mod it?

Yeah. Hahah. Wanted to use it as a project guitar. Ended up using it regularly now. Hahah.
 
yup i modded my rr3 quite abit, dimarzio pickups, schaller trem with graphtechs. swapped the pickguard for an acrylic one with "rg style" config

Well, nothing a floyd rose swap can't cure, IF the current one is unreliable, which might be the case.

Check it out.

String up with new strings, make sure they are stretched, then do crazy whammying - think almost violent. Do a dive bomb and hold it down for a good few seconds....

Then check tuning.


I went to SL on Sunday evening, saw 2 Jacksons... I think both were soloists, but only took up the natural finished/coloured one. ULTRA heavy lah! Man....
