Jack White And Jimmy Page Criticize ‘Guitar Hero’ Games

While my young cousins play Guitar Hero with the controllers, I will play along with them with my guitar instead... So no fighting on who's turn isit next..

.

However i think that guitar hero might actually give a wrong impression on younger kids that the guitar is that easy to play. Thus it might spur people on to pick up the guitar or just leave them disappointed after failing to succeed on it.

actually, real guitar are much easier to play than guitar hero...

Whatever they say, its not gonna stop people from playing music games. Besides, guitar hero can also introduce good music to people who do not normally listen to it.

And its fun, less of trying to nail 34912057048 notes and having a full combo with rank 'S', more of pressing buttons to the music. =/

I think Guitar Hero is a bridge that draws people attention to these old school rock music and hopefully in a bid to get them interested in picking up a real instrument to play.

On hind sight, it is just a leisure game but those who are not musically inclined to have a chance to rock out, in their bedroom. I find it to be a socially engaging game when I played the rock band with my mates, some of musicians, some not.

@ the end of the day, we all had fun and get us talking about music, which is good.

How many of you encountered this?

Your friends requesting you to play XXX song on guitar hero instead on the real one?

I think sometimes people see the toy as the real deal. =/

@halfastepdown: people just wanna have the experience of being in the rock band. nothing wrong with it. guitar hero provides the solution.

they dun see guitar hero as the real deal. they just enjoying the experience. i dun see why people can get so critical about people playing guitar hero over the real thing.

if I like a song, say "Rock you like a hurricane", does it mean I have to necessary learn the guitar to play it? What if I am not musically inclined and i just wanna chill and rock out on guitar hero? Nothing wrong with it. You learn ur stuffs on guitar, I am happy to play mine on guitar hero.

I don't see no issues.
