JRock Matsuri is a series of JRock (Japanese Rock music) related workshops and events. It is also part of matsuri@SG projectz 2007.
Event: The Gathering
Date: 1st July 2007 (Sunday)
Time: Noon – 8pm
Venue: Cineleisure Orchard
Brief synopsis/ outline of event:
• JRock Bands Competition
• Best JRock Cosplayers
• Best Dresser Award.
Being selection of the “Best” dressers in
o Punk,
o Gothic
o Lolita
Conjunction with
• Launch of REI, first local JRock band "single" CD <REVELATIONS>
Event Objectives:
To create awareness for the forthcoming events and workshops
Serve as an selection round for individuals and bands to perform/ complete for the final round at the end of the year, whereas the winner(s) will be promote and groom further as recording artiste/ band.
JRock Bands Competition
Each participating group is required to perform 3 songs either in covers or original, of which at least 2 songs to be in Japanese and the 3rd can have the option of Jap or English.
JUDGING CRITERIA
• Technique & Skills 25%
• Diction 20%
• Showmanship 25%
• Presentation 30%
Champion Band stands to receive more than S$10,000 worth of prizes
Incl. cash, visit to Tokyo Music School in Japan, artiste/ band grooming packages, Band clinic & jamming package, Band Styling & Photography session, artiste/ band contract, release of album… & much more.
Participating Bands are able to receive
Attractive packages/ gifts and supports from our supporting partners and sponsors before the selection round and all the way towards the Final as well.
Best JRock Cosplayers
get ready to parade in your best costumes. Imitate your idols and pose for the cameras.
Each participating individual/ group is required to imitate at least 1 song (CD Music) or imitate their action/ speech…etc of at least 3min on stage
Best Dresser Award
Being selection of the “Best” dressers in
o Punk,
o Gothic
o Lolita
Parade in your best outfits, Intro yourself and pose for the cameras in a 3min self presentation .
The other objective for these two wards, we are also in search of energetic hosts for our final and end of the year JRock/ Cosplay event.
JUDGING CRITERIA & PRIZE DETAILS WILL ONLY BE RELEASED TO PARTICPATING INDIVIDUAL/ GROUP DURING BREFING SESSION IN END MAY/ EARLY JUNE
