hello guys,

any of you guys are using isolation headphones? my drumset is in a enclosed area, hence when played the sound of it is very very loud, and i had to play with ear plugs on everytime.

Is there any isolation headphones which could cut down the loudness of the drums, and yet enable the drummer to hear the music to play with in the headhpone?

vic firth isolation headphones. 2 types. one can plug in, one merely a headphone. dave weckl ,rod morgenstein etc ppl use dat. expensive tho, try grab it at sweelee sale. at first im not used to it, i hear wooooooooooo sounds in my cupped ears lol then again it really take down the volume quite abit

just buy those small plugs! ahha i think they are much better and cheaper than those big bulky kinds. mines not an acoustic kit so i dont need earphones! haha.

remember to protect your ears all the time!

thanks for the info guys! =D

is sweelee involved in the great singapore sale?

btw i am already using the small plugs now protect my ears, just that i need to play with music and yet protect my ears now XD

yup not really.. its just a mid year sale. check out the sweelee forum at the bottom of the forums page yea. more info there.

i hope they will sell it futing the 1st jul sale XD really wish to get one of the headphones and start playing along with music XD

One cheap method that i discover was to buy a pair of isolation headphones from any hardware shop that cost $8. These headphones are used by construction workers.

A good way to practice with songs is to use ur normal earphones and use the Headphones to CUP ur ears.

Good and cheap way.

Haha, I use this method too.

sorry for the late reply, went overseas for 5 days XD

is that method of putting the headphones over the earpiece good? because i am afraid the the part which the wire of the earpiece goes out might have sound that leaks in XD but otherwise its really budget ^^!

It helps penko. I use that same method too. You probably won't want total isolation anyway. You'll still need to hear the band/music and your strokes a little when you play.

Am I safe to say that U are not the type that walks ard ur neighbourhood every sunday eh?

Walk around ur neighbourhood, If there's no hardware shop in ur area, walk again in the next area!

Not so difficult wat!!?

U can't expect ppl to spoonfeed U with all the details!!

Am I right to say that or are U unhappy abt it?
