Whenever you are dealing with any overseas store, Forex (Foreign Exchange) is a pain in the a$$. Pls remember that additional charges do apply eg banks' forex rates, wire transfer fees, courier delivery service etc. Do not calculate from a simple conversion online, it's only to give you a rough idea of the selling price of the guitar/bass.
My consolidation project will provide greater value for guitarists/bassists. This is simply because my dad (who is Jap) can communicate with stores and we will work out a plan to benefit everyone involved. I am not interested in making money outta this, I feel that I should create awareness for value-for-money gear. Also, I feel that it's about time I improve my knowledge of the Jap guitar industry. Currently, it's close to nothing.
It will feature loads of interesting stuff (Ibanez has some really cool guitars over there, and there are great brands that do LP/Strat/Tele copies very well), I will do up documents for interested parties to read and understand. This project will not be applicable to resellers (Personally, I dislike their biz approach). Only end consumers.

Wah shit, to think i was so happy to see the price of the 1950s Les Paul. 179,001 YEN multiply by S$0.0148 u get 2.5k plus.. i thought why so cheap sia. Haha.. damn, i'm interested in buying overseas esp from Ishibashi Music but i nv try before la. Scared.. haha!
It's cheap to the Japanese residents, not to foreign buyers, lol. This is due to the economy and the market.
Best analogy to illustrate this is the Big Mac burger from McDonalds. Compare the prices in different countries and you will get a gd idea of the country's economy... hehe
