If I'd known this, should have order from them! I ordered a MIJ Fender from G77 for more than $1.4K.

i can personally assure you the level of customer service and tech support is worth the extra $ . defintely. if their prices were slightly lower i would defintely get my fender japan gear from them.

hey dudes...Even if there is good tech support, it doesn't mean it's free. Guess now that you've got a better, cheaper route to get your guitars, take it the next time you want to purchase something.

Can't blame g77 for marking up their prices as they need a profit margin to upkeep the stall. :wink:

ST72 isn't exactly highend to the japs i think. but it's expensive enough for the most of us... Ishibashi puts it at 46400Yen which is close to 1000SGD after shipping.

there are still higher end models the last i checked... basically it's very much dependent on 2 factors - price and looks(design). The better looking models tend to be more pricey also.

i think the jap custom shops are still most exp.

46 400 after shippign and converted to SGD isnt possible to exceed 950 even assuming a drastic change in exchange rate from 1.55- 1.60

fender japan mainly caters to reissues.

the reissues are grouped into 2 kinds.

basic reissues which feature japan fender vintage pickups and tend to have basswood body

authentic / as real as possible reissues feature alder body and FENDER USA vintage pickups.

so 2 main differences. 1) body wood 2) pickups
