Is this ok?

If this is self taught, its an achievement. Nevertheless need more practice for improvement. Ensure that every single note that you pick can be heard clearly.

OMG you sound just like my neighbour who keeps playing this over and over again. And sometimes Paramore - Decode.

By any chance do you live in Clementi?

Hahaha, no la. I live in the Bukit Panjang area. The bending technique use forearm instead of fingers? Ok, I'll look for a tutorial in youtube. The metronome should put how many beats per minute?

Bro it's good u read the tabs right and, i like ur integrity mann, cos u post this cos u need improvement, which is pretty brave where others suck and do covers whereby they amplify their backing tracks more than their guitar. But need lot's of practice, need to relax ur fingers abit, and don't push ur thumb too hard towards the neck or ur other fretting fingers will have problems moving, hamer ons, pulling offs etc. I think that's fine becos ur self taught (so am i) usually when u start a fresh new tab ur always chasing the tabs instead of blending with the music, but it must be IMPROVED. :)

Rock on bro...\m/

Thanks! So I don't have to push my thumb onto the neck? Crap, I always push my thumb onto the neck. =.=ll Just by relaxing it will do right? The fingers just press lightly onto the frets, and strum?

don't push the thumb, it should just be a supporter for the fretting fingers. U push it too hard it will strain therefore causing ur fingers to "lock" or cramp and u will need more effort for the fretting fingers to... fret, tap whatever, therefore u cant do pull offs and scale smoothly. I dunno whether the guitar neck's thickness is part of the problem cause im using a les paul copy with a super thick neck and if i push my thumb 100% strain one... so gotta relax those fingers so can play easier.

I am not a great player and I dont think I am even as good as you. So I am not gonna comment on the techniques.. I guess the gurus here have done that already..

But as a listener, I think your timing is going seriously off..Personally I wouldnt worry about my playing technique until I get my timing correct.. Please use a metronome.. If you are someone who finds metronome boring, then may be look for a backing track? Stick to the beats..

Overall it was nice.. Thanks for sharing.. Good luck to you..

Can be improved! I think you should download the backing track cause it has drumbeats to help you keep in time.

P.S. I like your bedsheet. Tweety bird!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I knew it. People will definitely take a look at the background. =.=ll I have a metronome at home, but I don't really know what is the speed that I should use...

Just watched the video, a few pointers that others haven't mentioned:

1) Listen to the song more, helps you with your timing and you have a sense on how long the notes are held (or play along with the song)

2) Use alternate picking more, this piece isn't really played with downstrokes only.

I'd recommend you practice some alternate picking exercises for synchronization and don't attempt sweeps at yet.
