is SX guitar good?

hi,

i'm looking for a beginner electric guitar..used to play acoustic and electric years ago..now feel like starting over.

saw this package at davis http://www.sxguitarspain.com/sx_ec-3_kit.htm for $250. is this a good buy? i like especially this design.. i consider myself beginner so no need to get too high end guitars..thanks.

You will need to probably renut, upgrade bridge, pickups and electronics, set up the guitar. Then the SX would be good. So you could get it for that price, and over the years upgrade it as you get better.

it is not objective to effect parts replacements for guitars in this price bracket; if this is the consideration, why buy the guitar at all?

Sx packaged deals are alright; they will get you through your initial engagements but consider the SMASH models @ standard value as well.
