Is my signature guitar really signature?

I have seen some tai- tai type aunties go down there before with a damaged guitar (coz the strap pin came off) kao peh and bang table till kingdom come, threaten report to case la .... U know the basically MOFO attitude problem rich yet still wanna squeeze every drop from her dollar type POS ..... and ask for exchange... surprisingly ... eventually a solution is settled for them .....

Good luck solving ur problem dude but remember.. whhatever the outcome - dont be a tai tai mofo attitude problem type auntie while you're doing it.

Seriously, i think you would save a hell lot more time and effort if you just get out and get a duncan 59 or a Dimarzio Air Classic.. Chances are even if you do get the gibson pickup.. you would find that it sucks anyway..

cheers

Seriously I don't even think Swee Lee will try to swap the pickups. What for? The cost of labour might even outweigh the cost of the pickups. The only shop I know that has a reputation for cheating and swapping things is this vintage and used guitar shop at Elxcelsior basement hotel.

yeah to be honest i don't think Swee Lee would bother swapping pickups, it's not like the bulk of their business comes from people in singapore buying their instruments anyway. what for go through all the extra trouble?

but anyway...as far as i know, most Epiphone guitars, signature or otherwise, come with Epiphone pickups. the pickups might be made in the USA for higher end Epiphone models but they're still usually under the Epiphone brand.

i'm surprised you got a Gibson pickup in the first place.

whatever the case is, before you go down just make sure that your guitar is supposed to have Gibson pickups instead of Epiphone pickups because if your guitar is supposed to have Epiphone pickups, they may demand that you return the Gibson pickup and they may give you an Epiphone replacement.

there's some truth to the idea that people who are dissatisfied with what they have are usually greedy. don't end up being greedy and coming out with less than you went in with.
