is an epiphone les paul worth the money?

the 59 in the neck can become very muddy. i'm not sure if i got a dud but mine was very muddy, so much so i only use it to fatten my cleans occasionally

yup the 59 in my guitar is very phat... i wont say its muddy la.. but its really warm... like "santana warm".. the extra mids and bass really helps you cut thru during solos... esp in live situations

nah i think i agree with you.. its too muddy for chordwork or riffs but can get that phat tone. but i dont think it really can cut through though. maybe its my amp with a 10" speaker... the bass response is horrible, very farty. eh chanmin do you go to alvron? i saw your name on the booking list
