Intro: jemstone

hi.. i'm jem. that's the name my folks gave me (don't ask if they hate me =P ).

i play acoustic/electric guitar, and bass, at church. i'm also learning drums from one of the church players. and come april, the same person teaching me drums is going to sign up a beginner's keyboard course with me so we'll be progressing from there.

currently looking for a cheap fender strat so if anyone knows of anything, please let me know?

i'm looking for outside gigs as well for the experience.

edit: oh yea... i'm from sg as well... *waves at all the other sg players*

Jem is a very cool name.

Not only is it the name of a rather famous type of guitar, but it is also the name of one of the lead characters in a classic of American literature, which is "To Kill A Mockingbird" (perhaps your folks read this and named you after the boy). In the book, Jem is short for "Jeremy Atticus Finch" - a very grand name. It's a great book which I recommend you read to see if you gain any insight into why you were so named if that's the reason.

Anyway, welcome. Let us know when you get a Strat.
