intepretation of the cure's "love song" - after death remix

When listening, help me to:

1) Imagine the sound of a woman screaming in an accident at 1:35 - 2.15... couldn't record my sampler
2) Imagine the piano parts to be less cheery and less ... pub-ish

Basically it's about a ghost of a woman visiting her husband after she died in an accident..
background noise and natural room buzzy sound and evp-sounding attempts intentional, headphones recommended, and I didn't play the piano.

Very inspiring stuff!

It's inspiring me to finish , "If I Never See You Again" - sad, sad song - but beautiful!

Cheers

Interesting take.

But the vocals are too soft? Soft without being coated in tons of reverb...

Then again, that's the shoegazer in me speaking.

Thanks!
Meant to be soft actually cos I was trying to make it sound like a ghost whispering the song out in the bloke's living room. Was trying my best to integrate it atmospherically except for certain parts where the voice whispers directly in his ear.. Explains why the voice comes in and out as well.. I don't know, I don't think there's an account of a ghost speaking to someone directly all the way.. :S

Hehehe, okay. though I think it will definitely benefit from having it louder in the mix and a bigger stereo imaging?

Yeah I gotta work on that :S
I have zilch experience with this whole mixing thing, so I'd probably have to re-record this somewhere one day...

But the vibe how? Did it make it?

imho. Nice mood and voice

The piano can tweak a bit with low pass filter, make it darker, add reverb and panned extreme left and right plus another track in the center at lower volume. Creating a space within the music without losing focus by making it sounds too distance and too much spaciousness

I agree on the spaciousness bit, I think it's a little overdone and submerged the whole thing. I'd need to rework the details once I have more samples to work with.
I wanted to put something in the center (where i mentioned some imagination required) but tired out when I can't record them.

Thanks for the suggestions; What's a "low pass filter"?

Tank cute you boss for giving me these ideas!!!

I'm turning into blue!!!

I like the intro, it's promising and I hope you can look into expanding that. Did you mix the song yourself? it'd really sound like a full-on R&B/soul song if you added electronic beats (I blame the piano)
You can try include the buzzing throughout the song, and mix it higher during the climax or something, for more sonic texture.

Thanks for the advice :) I'll try that!..
I had trouble with the buzzing cos of its inconsistency, particularly because it buzzes over the volume limit and I don't know how to edit off those things... I'm a complete noob with all these really, but I did mix it myself; With better practice and time perhaps..
