Hi there, can any softies help me out??I am confused about something. It's about the Floyd Rose System found in Kramer guitar..I want to buy a kramer guitar today, and with the Ori Floyd Rose System on it,but the seller says it comes with a Floyd Rose System with the word "Floyd Rose" only.I want an Ori Floyd Rose because i trust it was gd..And that Kramer once work with Floyd Rose to produce guitar with Ori Floyd Rose on it..But from what i know an ori should have the word "Floyd Rose Original" on it..Unless if it comes with the word "Licensed Floyd Rose" then i would confidently say that it is not an ori from the company itself but other company having the license to do so..So,my qns is,is it an ori??If it just come with the word "Floyd Rose"??Btw,the model is Kramer Striker ST300H..Do help me out fast fellow softies. Thanks man!!!! :? :? :? :?

Hi Farid,

Everything you need to know is here.

From here,

The Floyd Rose II - With Fine Tuners

The II units were used on some of the later model overseas Strikers, Focus, 100, and 1000 series Kramers While these trems are not necessarily "crap", they are not as good as the original since they are cast iron. They rust much easier, and the fulcrum points are metal inserts as opposed to being hardened and part of the actual trem metal itself. If you see a Kramer with one of these, it is NOT an American Series. Additionally, if you try to use one of these on a guitar that originally had an OFR on it, you'll have some bad action because the base plate is thicker than the OFR's. Also worth of noting, a Floyd Rose III exists that is actually a non-locking trem made in Asia that Kramer wanted as an affordable peice. It is slightly different to the Floyd II, with the III featuring a different base plate (does not appear to be cast).

If this article is true, I wouldn't bother if its OFR, or licensed or whatever - its obviously not a good trem.

hey man ..check with your fren then go to the catalog section ..to verify

best if your fren can take a pic and sent to you..

Hmnn,i see so it is actually a lower end version of Floyd Rose but it is original..But it is not as gd as the original Floyd Rose..As it rust easily and have bad action..Ok,i get it!!Yeah!!!Thanks everyone once again!!!

Did that and done the catalog checking..Shredcow is right!!It is a Floyd Rose II..Hmnn,but i am still buying it..Because i believe it's a gd guitar.. :)

floyd rose II is what the schaller trems are.
the OFR are also made by schaller, but of cos they cant stick their name on it cos its being made for floyd.

i would prefer a nightswan..
u got lobang for one???:)

I have one ... but not selling
a nightswan is essentially a short scale warmoth
with reversed explorer headstock
and ( mine ) some pokka dotted paint work

So you can always get one custom built : )

yes ..i know that part...thank you.:)
its just that this guitar is kinda classic to me ..coz im a vivian fan..
almost the same league as the RG550 and Jackson Rhoads..:)
