tt'll be awesome. but i'm no pro! i haven't even performed at gigs cause most of the time i'm so caught up with school. but hey it'll still be ok for me to join y'all right? and why not y'all set a given time of the week/month to meet up, and y'all can always decide the meeting place later. plus it'll also be easier if y'all collated the particulars of those interested, it'll be a whole lot easier eh?

Actually it's a vocal exchange so that vocalists can meet up and exchange ideas, and listen to each other sing and help each other out with their problems. There's always more than one way to sound a certain way, and like I've seen, a lot of us would have ideas to contribute. One person's technique may not work for another person's voice, hence the idea-exchange would do good to open more ways to work your voice out.
I'm quite amazed that there are some non-vocalists popping by as well, but well whatever rocks your boats!
March is coming, anyone who wants to go just add your contacts here and I'll zip up a mass send when the thing's organised. Having one more gig to bowl over late feb, then I should be okay (i'm damn damn damn tired after my gigs... anyone who knows me or caught my gigs should know why haha)
Oh one more thing, since there's also all types of vocalists (classical, pop, blues, rock, screamo, aggressive, etc), I hope the rest of you won't mind the mix. Even if you don't sing in the style, it's interesting to hear how others are using their voice for different types of music.
I am generally a mix of pop classical and rock, but I'm really interested to know how screamos or hardcore people sing, hence the mix.
Till then thanks for supporting the idea and I'll look forward to making this event happen

beach i think is ok, but the esplanade thing sounds really good cos then you really hear your voice. But yeah gotta check out whether its ok to use the place. IF must chip in cash, we chip in lor...

Beach okay what? I can rent a chalet Clear space and have one giant carpet with ten million cushions. Set?
I checked on Esplanade but they said must be from a licensed tour group or some crap like that. I think the person thought we're gonna steal the organ pipes or something.

Oh yeah, if anyone has a digi cam that can record vids and take pics, bring! The more cams -> more vids. Oh yeah. Bring extra batteries and make sure your memory card has space. Typical things that people overlook when going for outing.
My suggestion for itinerary:
1) Light Brunch and get to know (Food how? I can sponsor some lasagna but would it be too heavy?)
2) Ice breaker
3) Sing along (1/2 songs)
4) Each person sing 1 song (short version) and we take vid and comment etc
Suggestion only. So you guys can criticize as much as u want. lol

but i don't think it's a comfortable idea, the video thing.. cos we're hanging out for learning, not showcasing.. singalongs are fine.. unless the person wants to do solo then go ahead.. otherwise just eat and listen and hang :}
