Whar pickups do you guys out there think ibanez S series guitars should fo wif? Duncan? Di marioz? Emg? Can people out there shred some light??

There is no specific brand of pickups that the S series can be equipped with. Dimarzio, Seymour Duncan, EMG etc are all equally good, but it boils down to what your musical direction is and what sort of tone you want to achieve. Maybe if you could tell us more specifically what music you play and what tone you like/seek, we could help you more effectively.

all pickups will give clean tone, yes? it's a matter of how immaculate it would be.

if you want cleans that won't break up easily under high volume settings, choose from the range of vintage/ medium output humbuckers. i personally prefer Duncan's Alnico II Pro in the neck- sweet overdrive + good driven tones if the needs arise... 8)

the kind of sound u really want can only be achieved after trying of several makes of pickups actually. my S has been through quite a few pickups, duncans, stack sgl coils, emg's, paf's, where i finally settled with tonezone n air nortons. i think subversion's one has been thru that too. anyway, u can try the duncan 59's or customs too. or dimarzio air classics.

quite true- my S-series had been through a Dimarzio experience, but i finally chose Duncans. there's no right or wrongs when choosing pickups, it's about what you wanna hear & what the pickup has to offer...
