There’s no one guitar that’ll outdo another- they are from different manufacturers with different guitar philosophies. If you like one, then it’s because it appeals to you personally, not because the other is lousy. Audition each guitar before you buy, this way, you know what’s good for you.
Is this your first electric? If it is, I’d advise you to steer cleer of floating whammies. Get a non floating unit & focus on your playing/ tone before upgrading.
The LTD is a brand I’m indifferent with, IMO they can do better with their entry-level models. The Ibanez RG270 is a decent player, if you ever intend to get a whammy equipped Ibanez make sure the whammies are non-TRS models, otherwise there are plenty of good non-whammy Ibanez these days.
