I'm into rock/neo-classical kinda music and really like this the looks of this guitar although i havent tried it.
Tried a few other Ibanez guitars of the same series and like it a lot.
I personally would also like a guitar that looks great to me aside from the sound and i can't exactly find one that looks at good as this one.

So...i'm not sure if it being made in Indonesia should be a great concern for me.

id personally wait for a used nicely priced MIJ RG 5XX.

the indo rg i owned didnt stand a chance with my japanese rg.
and that is when the indo one was pimped and the jap one stock.

the thing about the reissue 450 is that it still sports that "not so stable" lo-trs trem hence explaining the so called cheaper price tag. 550 reissues are more worth it if you compare the 2.

the difference between the guitars are the place of manufacture, the qc, the woods, pickups & the bridge. not the best as most of the parts dont fit each other like a glove (my Ibanez Gio Mikro is like that). however if you are lucky, you can get your hands on one with a nice flame maple neck! I've got to say, the stock PUs are HOT!

go for the prestige line. not bad at all and their price tag wont make you get the idea of robbing a bank. avoid the Edge-Zero bridge, not many people like it (too stiff, doesn't return to 0 point, MIC blah blah blah...)

I'm not a fan of Ibanez's MII guitars. I tried an ICT700, and the guitar on the overall was terrible and didn't justify the $1.7K pricetag. Hope it was an isolated incident...

On the other hand, I have an excellent Yamaha that is made in Indonesia.

I prefer MII Ibanez to MIK Ibanez TBH. My RG 270 has such bad qc when i took it apart it wasn't funny. For TS, maybe can explore the option of getting the new MIJ RG4XX and throw in a Gotoh Tremolo? That might give u the best of both worlds.

My xiphos is made in indo. there are several small defects like uneven (locking) nut size. Very subtle defects. and from the price i got the guitar for, these things can be easily looked over. but considering the actual price, i'd expect better.

did anyone tried measuring the neck thickness of the MII wizard II? My MIK RG270dx wizard II neck has the thickness of a Gio Neck...

use a veneer caliper. U can get it from daiso. Measure the first and twelve fret. If it's not 19mm/21mm (which is wizard II measurements).......

I measured my MIJ RG470 and RG570 necks. The measurements are correct as per the ones on the website. 19mm/21mm for wizard II and 17mm/19mm for Wizard.

ic ok i always had the wrong impression to measure the length of fret wire & nut.. heehee

will update u mine.. if i can get a caliper soon
