As mention above . I got it 2 months ago . I didn't really like the sound . SO what simple upgrade shou;d i get & what's the price ?

What do you not like about the sound? What amps are you using?

Yeah what amplifiers and pedals are you using? Because I'm also using an all-stock Ibanez GIO and I love the tone (even my bandmates comment that the tone is very nice). I think pickups don't affect the tone very much, which is why for now, I don't quite see the point of boutique / expensive pickups. More important is the amplifier, pedals (if you use pedals) and equalizer settings you're using.

I run a gio gsa06 ltd (you can't get specs on this guitar anywhere) to a vt30 and it sounds pretty awesome. I think ibanez has one of the best value for money budget guitars around.

Agreed. Frankly the Ibanez Gios aren't the best-made around (The LTDs are better made) but they have really good tone for the price.

i think your amp is the main problem
try your axe on your friend who has a good amp
