Ibanez Depreciation Value??

Pooo
Discolouration comes really quickly man

Discoloration as in the body's color or you are
referring to the bridge??

If that is the case, then, GIO series would be even
worse...... correct me is i am wrong...

Is this apply to all other brand or just Ibanez??

imo RGs are my fav guitars..i cannot live without them...but i haf to admit after say 4-5 yrs of constant usage...the metal on the bridge peels off.

Sounds like the RG quality is not very good.

Is that mean that after a replacement for the bridge,
you are prolong the guitar for another 5 years?????

How much will it cost to have a bridge replacement
in Singapore though?

Will the sound quality be the same after replacement??

No wonder, people keep asking newbies to avoid
Ibanez GIO series....

as in, the condition still all right after 5 years? yes, depending on how u maintain it.

For me, its only for home use... do not think i will
carry my guitar in and out for practise....

That is my point. Guess... Ibanez model like 321MH will
be selling at a discount of 40% or 50% discount then, right.
Since its a fixed bridge.

not really. fixed bridge doesn't mean it'll depreciate more. for the new batch of 321 models, they should fetch a good 60% of their original price, if well taken care of...

Do you think any RG series will last like more than 5 years or so......

regardless of which guitar you own, it all boils down to the owner's ethics. if they take time to love their instruments, they will last a long time.

my Ibanez RG560 will be 14yrs old come November 8)

14 years old. *Jaw dropping* Must be made in Japan then.
Well! i do believe that Korean made guitars are not too
bad as well..... Remember you said, Marty Friedman
do acquire Ibanez guitar for its quality... right..

Never heard of Marty Friedman songs.....
since there will be a concert coming soon...
might drop by...

May be that is the reason you always ask newbie to
avoid GIO series guitar......

Gio series are good- selected models that is. but no commanding re-sale value for sure.

yeah, marty friedman plays the Korean SZ moedls exclusively on tour with Aikawa Nanase (see pic).

It's the material Ibanez uses to coat the hardware. The GIO series isn't any worse man. Sweat and all that stuff aids in discolouration, even if you wipe down and try to keep in immaculate condition, if you're a constant player, it's bound to happen.
