Hi! I'm a music hobbyist and I wanna try recording a live band studio jam session. So if your band is keen, hit me up and we can arrange something --- eg. I'll just set up the recording equipment for your jam session and record a few songs. I'll give you the individual instrument tracks and if I have time I'll also try mixing it down into a stereo track. It'll probably sound like shit but you get what you pay for (ie. its free).

To be clear... I'll be doing multitrack recording (eg. 1 room mic, 2 drum mics, 2 guitar mics, 1 bass mic, and possibly vocals separately). So while it won't sound as good as a professional expert's take, it will probably be better than your phone recording.

Which audio interface are you planning to use for the recording?

Thanks! I'm using a Steinberg UR44 (6 inputs), with a mix of Shure / budget mics, into Ableton Live.

Maybe you can help me with a question --- The UR44 has 4 mic inputs, and 2 line-level inputs. If I want to use 6 mics in total, then I need to get external preamps for 2 mics. What's the most budget-friendly option to accomplish this?
