its feels kinda strange as ive never really owned a non-strat type of guitar before, but somehow the axe was so on me...

you can ignore my lame pose. i am not a very photogenic guy lol...

this is one of the deans which i am proud to own, not for just being the first non-conventional shaped guitars i have, but for also being the first guitar to ever sound so good.

i was once very skeptical of dean guitars as the ML shape and their headstocks didn't really attract me, but listening to some pantera for a while i decided to give it a go. amazingly, the basswood ML shaped body provided A LOT of comfort for my elbow and my wrist, keeping my picking hand as relaxed as possible. and that kind of comfort wasn't achievable with my ibanez. i was surprised how relaxed i was even when standing and playing with this guitar. the neck's fast too.

sound wise, i would say the Dean DBDT (Dimebag Tribute) guitar is really good overall. the clean sounds in all pup positions sparkles. very very hard rock/bluesy in the neck, and when you flick it to the bridge in dirty it chugs and screams and you get that "cowboys from hell" tone. i wasn't even close to getting it as this guitar was made for big amps with big sounds and not my shitty marshall MG-CDR-15 practice amp.

oh btw, turning the neck pup to zero makes the pup toggle a cool killswitch.

this axe is suitable for all genres but mainly is made for the metal scene in general. i play a lot of trivium on it and it sounds great, just that i have to get used to galloping and muting on the bridge, the saddles aren't the same as on an ibanez or fender bridge. yeah, this is one hell of a kickass guitar mate.

i'll be posting up vids and some sound samples of this guitar so do watch this space =)

cheers.

congrats! hehe i tried a razorback before but it felt weird cos of the shape and all... but enjoy ur dean!!! hahah i'm gas-ing for a soltero!!! woohoo

I wanted to get the razorback explosion man.....but lazy to ship in and all, did you by any chance buy that from music theme?

very cool bro! congrats....need abit of review here....I wanted to buy dean Dime o flag last time...my only question is....does the ML shape neck heavy?

superpotato_30: ?!?!?!?!

wasp and Xlayar: nope, i bought it from ranking...heh..i was also surprised when i went over to music theme while waiting for my guitar to be setup and restrung at davis. and Xlayar, i dont think you would want a razorback, its pretty big. bigger than my ML.

reez_rock: well, its a little heavy, but dont let that bother you. just play as per normal and it plays like a guitar ;)

Its nice..for its wierd shape, its quite comfy to play. I almost wanted to buy that when I was looking for a 2nd guitar but I'm not really a fan of dimebag, if it was purely dean I would have, no offence to dimebag fans.
