Hypothesis

Hi, guys.

Here's the hypothesis.

I compose and write my own songs, get someone to sing it and record it in a studio.

Then I send it to the radio stations, where it gets accepted quality wise and thus gets airplay and maybe climbs up the charts.

So, since I have registered my song with Compass and my song gets radio airplay - how much am I looking at in terms of royalties?

How does the royalty system work in Singapore anyway? I would really like to learn about this from Softies who have real experience in the industry.

Thanks! :-D

I heard it's like 0.0something cents everytime the song gets played on radio.

its true, royalties very very lil, either eng/chn, nt sure malay, but it adds up u see, if ur musics popular enugh, chances they covered in tv, concerts, etc, so it has to b popular!
