preamp = effects(distortions+modulations) + tone controls eg. ur x3live is a floor based preamp
power amp = volume [+ presense(or reverb) sometimes] eg. epi valve jr head
speaker cabinet = only the speaker, nothing else eg. epi valve jr cab
combo = preamp + power + speaker eg. vox ac30

Ok. Thank u guys. So i can get a amp head by itself or must tag along with another cab then it'll work? Hmmm..
