How To Use Accoustic Drum Triggers ?

hey guys i nt sure bout triggers... is it like a small thing dat clamp on the rims of the drum den the sound become electronic straight away ?

and when using triggers if i hit my drum it wont produce any sound ? unless u switch on the SPEAKER ? is it like dat >?

ud have to get a sound module..

You won't have no sound straight away, you'll have to use a lot of stuffing or something to mute your drum first. So it'll bump when you hit it, but it won't give out sound. It'll sound a bit like hitting a pillow.

Also, you have to connect the trigger to something that can produce sound, like the sound module that Schon mentioned. It's the little thing with buttons you see on digital drumsets.
