How to solve L(mono) output crackles problem?

how to re-route the main outputs L & R to outputs 3 & 4 ?

one of my Korg sound module start to has problem in the main output,
how can I resolve problem by myself?

could be a dirty jack. just get a strong blower to clean it out.

can't re-route to output 3 and 4 without editing every prog and combi one by one.

this is tough.

confirm it's not the jack problem,
it's with my module.

anyway, if not becos of this problem,
I'd had never think of re-routing to output 3&4.

so what is the usual usage of output 3&4 ?

Hi bongman, looks like you've got yourself a big problem! What about sending for repair?

Usually, the outputs (1 to 4) can be assigned to whatever outputs you want. 1 and 2 are usually the standard stereo outputs, with left as the mono output. 3 and 4 can be assigned as stereo L and R. If the Korg is the same as the Yamaha, then you can assign different effects to either 3 or 4 individually, assign different voices or the individual elements of one voice to either 3 or 4, you can assign different controllers to either 3 or 4 as well etc. But I've not used any Korg module. If the same principle applies, then that's what these 2 extra outputs can be used as.

thank you guys,
still no output from 3 & 4 leh,
see if what I can do to assign
output 1 & 2 to 3 & 4

If you open up your modules, more often than not contact cleaner will solve your problem. Be careful to use it only around your dodgy contacts, some modern electronic capacitors can suffer from switch or contact cleaner.

You can use a can of compressed air if you are less confident about cleaners.

Also, you can physically inspect the output for dry joints, overused (bent out of shape) socket contacts and fix that. Some people in the biz will encourage you to 'exercise you sockets' i.e. condition them for use if underused or not used.

You may also like to know that some companies like Monster and Planet Waves actually make non standard size jacks, the difference is mircometers, the objective is for tigther fit, and the consequence is that contacts sometimes do not fit properly.

I can't be bothered to 're bend' one of my socket's contacts in one of my instruments to ensure 100% fit with planet waves jacks, and I just avoid planet waves cables with that instrument.
