How to restore jailbroken Iphone

Hi,

Anyone knows how to restore a jail broken iphone? If I restore it, will all my messages, pictures etc disappear?

I tried to update to iOS 5, then my phone got stuck in safe mode (nt sure but on the screen is the itunes logo and the cable). After 3 hours of excessive googling and trying this and that, I was finally able to get my phone back to the way it was (WHEW!).

So now, im happy that i got my phone back, instead of a useless brick. However, I still want to restore it back to stock condition in order to get the iOS 5.

Help?

You can just unjailbreak your Iphone by just restoring it in your Itunes. I've restored my Iphone numerous times with no problem. Itunes will just load up your Iphone with the latest OS and it will just be exactly like a stock Iphone.

Contacts and messages still there. Even the webpage i was browsing before. Just that my apps are gone. If you want to play it safe you can always sync your apps and contacts with outlook by checking the settings in your itunes.
