how to remember all the minor pentatonic CAGED system

and always keep in mind the amount of steps both the major and minor scale takes. for example..

this is the minor scale...

whole note - half note - whole note - whole note - half note - whole note - whole note

and this is the major scale...

whole note - whole note - half note - whole note - whole note - whole note - half note


so for example...you want to learn the A minor...determine the A note on the guitar fret...that will be your root note. After, just use the formula to determine the other notes in the A minor scale...

There are only 5 box patterns for pentatonics no? One of the easiest scales on the guitar. Wait till you try diatonic scales. No nice box patterns and sometimes it stretches over 5 frets, whereas pentatonics every pattern except one is within 4 frets.

hey wow that's quite useful! Haha now to fill in the blacks with what note on each fret... Both for standard E tuning and my Standard D tuning! =D
