How to maintain drum hardware

Heys i have question, how do u guys clean ur hardware eg. Drum shells,rims,stands,tom holders,legs/spurs or even skins. Is there lyk a special polisher or juz use some dry/damp cloth to wipe? And i saw on tv once someone use steak suce to clean the cymbals.dunno whether this is true

For me, i use wd40 to clean my hardware, and the sabian cymbal cleaner to clean my cymbals, cheers
