How to hook up CD/MP3 player with guitar amp that doesn't have CD input?

Hi all,

Well as the title says...
I am considering buying a guitar amp and I am quite in love with the Vox Pathfinder 15R because of its warm tone a lots of bass but the problem is there is no CD input on this amp. I mainly jam along with backing tracks so I really need to be able to playback the track with the amp.

Any idea how I can hook up the MP3 player with the amp while playing the guitar at the same time? Can it share the same input jack of the guitar or so?

why dont you split the input jack into 2 and just plug in the both...
the split jack is easily availble at best or funan

Yeah I thought of splitting the input jack too but I also thought that the sound could be impaired. Maybe I will go for a Vox DA20 which is more expensive but offers a CD input.

just buy the pocket pod express or its equivalent. it enables u to connect mp3/ipod to your amp. it works like a pedal!
