How to get Zoom G2 working

Hi, i've been using my zoom g2 at home for about a year and it works easily because there's only 1 input jack for me to look at on my crappy amp.

But the other day when i went jamming for the first time, they obviously had much better amps there and there were all these other jacks on the amps like 'high gain' 'low gain' and some other stuff on the back. I just couldn't get my G2 to work on it despite countless attempts at plugging it into different jacks...

Any advice?
