how to clean guitar fret? like mine?

on most fretboard cleaners, they'll advise against using lemon oil on maple fretboards, but in most cases its just because they're lacquered and it wont seep through anyway, i've known many guitarists over the years that just use it on the maple boards. no adverse effects thus far.

for your fretboard, use toothbrush soaked with water. then for your frets, use a very fine grit sandpaper and polish the frets one by one. before u polish, cover the fretboard with masking tape to prevent scratches

like i said, the dirt adds to make it look like a relic. heh heh.

and i really dont recommend any grade sand paper on the frets. its like using wd-40 on your strings, :smt018

You can use Autosol. I used it to clean my old strat. It works and the frets are shiny after polish.

plantwave fret polish cloth works? like autosol? that will be great, anyone confirm with this? kinda troublesome using autosol lah ahaha but the result is very satifsying

Yes bro, its troublesome using autosol as it dirty your hands but it fine with me cos' I'm very satisfied with the results. So shiny. Just like new.

Hmm, a queation about fret cleaning: right now I'm using dunlop 65 lemon oil on my LP's fingerboard.
I know lemon oil is for the wood, but can it be used for cleaning the frets and for strings as well?
Or gotta get separate stuff for that.. Eg. PW fret polish cloth, Fast-fret..

Gold hardware cannot use conventional metal polish or it becomes nickel hardware

Must use a jeweller's rouge for gold then can clean. Not worth the effort lah.

Heh invest in a dremel. I polish my frets in like 5 mins using the cotton buffing wheel. But $$ though though it's very handy for other stuff as well. Requires skill and patience as well.

lemon oil not for strings- use string cleaner.
