How safe is Ebay?

Hi ppl

Going to make my 1st purchase from Ebay soon n I need tips n advice from u Ebay regulars here..is it really safe to use credit card? wat details should I look out for? how do i know which seller i can fully trust?

Not hard really..look for power sellers coz they are mostly serious ebay sellers.. or.. look at thier feedback history, should tell you how trusted they are. As for credit card, I believe its quite safe to do so.. You've registered it with paypal right? Best way for transaction in ebay.

Yes, in the midst of registering it with Paypal...n yes, I`ll watch out for those sellers with high, excellent ratings

another good thing about paypal is its not restricted to ebay only, in fact you can use it to transfer money locally as well.

Read carefully on the items you want to buy and make sure it's what you want.

I've come across power sellers who don't know what they are selling at all. One listed his snare as 14.5" and told me it's easy to get a snare head that size. I really want to laugh my head off.

That being said, maybe they are just power sellers, not drummers who know about drums.

So, just be on the alert.
