How often do you guys jam?

It used to be around once every 2 weeks for me and my band, but we stopped playing for a long time .

Just wondering how often do you guys jam? Any bands so "steady" to jam everyday?

To me the jamming studio is a little expensive ah , once a week or once every 2 weeks is still fine .

Anyway , why don't jamming studio open just from the evening til midnight during the weekdays? Will there be people jamming in the morning/afternoon?

Additional :Why not include how long is a session (average) ?

Mine's two hours . Once we forgot about the time , and i guess the studio staff forgot too , and we went on jamming for almost another hour . He didn't charge us for that , since in between there's no other band .

Lol my band jams for at least once a week. wish it couldve been twice a week or more if it werent for work and school.. lol.

There are studios such as Four Tones and L cube that open 24 hr.. check them lol

my band usually jams 2 or 3 times before gigs on that very same week. if no gigs, den prolly once in 2 weeks. for new song to learn or just no plans for that day. haha

we meet each other practically at least twice every week but never jams, why?

my dumbass bassist insists that i have to record a new riff and send it to him and then he would write his basslines, and since i am too lazy to do so, and he being a lovelovelovelovelovelove, we don't jam.

once per week, 2 hours per session = not enough. that's how much my band jams. but then again, we've done gigs without even jamming and everything turned out fine. I see jamming as a session to write more stuff, or improve technique or parts of songs. jam wisely, not everytime must play the same song over and over.

My bands jam for 2 hours, usually. 1 hour is not enough considering that guitarists and bassists have their rigs to setup and that can take awhile depending on equipment. That was when I was in a number of bands. Now, though, I'm bandless and taking a nice, long, relaxing break.

I wanted to try doing overnight jamming but until today i haven't tried it. i always wonder who are the ones the studio serve during the midnight , morning and afternoon .

for me it's always fri/sat evening .

Would I lie, after Poly I haven't jammed except for one impromptu session in army. Do miss the life though, but now too busy with uni. It's all up to one's self though, I guess my excuses don't really matter.

hahahah can't man, we end up doing metal covers of gay songs, so we never get originals out

We've only done originals since the very beginning. Perhaps we could have learn something by doing some covers, but was too lazy to practice other people's songs and prefer to put our energy into something of our own.

Used to jam once every-freaking-week (1-2 hrs)! But that was seven years ago. Just reformed my band recently, but since I'm stuck here in Perth while my drummer's in SG, we are now doing long-distance "jamming" where I'll tediously prepare full "practice-samples" of selected materials I've composed (in very precise timing) and also program the drums and synth-bass ideas for my members to refer to (and also tab them out for them); and we'll then jam along with it individually at our own time for practice towards recording, while I continue to improve upon, add even more elements and perfect the songs. Still sound a little bit crazy even to me, but I think it should actually work out fine. Hopefully.

once in every week, usually the weekends over at the my guitarist's claustrophobic, non air-conditioned room. old school.keep repeating the songs again and again.always ended up sweaty after 1 hr of jamming.
