how much to ship from USA to singapore?

hey guys im planning to buy something from the states.. i need to know how much will it cost to ship over.. i've got friends there..

Only shipping & handling costs are incurred, so add that to the net price, then multiply by the current exchange rate. As for the shipping charges, they vary. Can be anywhere from US$0 to US$100000.

Why don't you ask your friends to ask the post office there instead? They would be able to get the rates faster........

I've used these guys about 12 times for guitars and the rate is about US$125 or less. Depends on the guitar. They only ship DHL. NEVER had any damage. Now, you need a valid account and credit card. They do insure, too. I use them for all my Ebay buys, consolidate multiple orders in the US and ship here. Sometimes I pay GST, sometimes SG Customs does not bother. Give them a try.

Cost depends on:

1. Weight of package you are shipping
2. Shipping method (surface mail, Fedex etc)
3. Inclusion of insurance or not.

Other option is vPost. And as Phoenix said, it will be easier for your friends to just ask the post office.

have you compared the cost of shipping through Access USA vs vPost USA?

no I haven't. But, vPost send the order to a freight/mail forwarder anyway so it may or may not be a lot different. Worth asking/checking, of course. DB

ok thanks. I was looking at the Access USA website. Seems like there's a registration cost of US$20 + an annual fee of US$60. Doesn't seem worth it unless you ship quite a bit from USA.

yup just looked at Access USA, not worth it. but the other time i shipped over an 8" splash from US via vPost, it cost me a whooping 70bucks for shipping alone. mind you, the splash only weighed like 800+ grams. came in a oversized package which dwarfed my splash.

Yes, I ship quite a bit. Music and non-music stuff. Clothes, books, all sorts of guitar parts and so on. Works for me - may or may not for you if this is a one-off purchase.
