How loud to crank the amplifier to record?

Ok now is 6:10am... not now, but later in the afternoon I will try my hand on recording with my new Line 6 Pod Studio UX1! I would like to hear as much saturation and definition if possible.. The question is... how loud...? I'm using a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 40.

A. Friendly to people in my room
B. Friendly to people in adjacent rooms
C. Hostile towards neighbours
D. Loud by personal standards
E. Seems quite loud while wearing eye plugs
F. Vulgarities from the opposite block

for me when i mic up my amp to record at home... it would be on saturdays and sundays during the day n stop only ard 9pm. but during weekdays,if i have the urge to, i still do blast them,but i normally stop at 10pm.
my family n neighbours are used to it actually.

and of course, when u blast right, still have to watch out for the 'meter' of th track at ur recording software mah... if too loud then 'cranky'

anw, yeah, why not do a test run of recording then adjust your volume from there?

I'm using Shure SM 58...
