It's confirmed "eye-ba-nez" 'cos I picked up this Ibanez ToneLok Series Pedals CD sampler from SL many years back. They had audio samples of their pedals at different settings, and the voice on the recording kept pronouncing it that way.

Beforehand, I thought it was "eee-ba-nez" too. In fact, I still pronounce it that way till now. I find it easier. 8)

I always pronounce it as "ee-baa-nez".. But sometimes i say as "eye-baa-nez" after my deals with other SOFTies who pronounce it that way..

and somehow, when i say "eye-baa-nez", sounds very ang-moh..

NAAA.. I'll still stick to my spanish roots and will always pronounce it as Ibáñez (eee-ban-nyez) even if the brand name does not have the ñ.

It will not sound funny at all if I say it that way. Just like us not laughing if a french or italian guy will say TO-MAH-TO, compared to the american or british Toe-Mey-Toe
