how do u control ur effx while running about on stage?

any1 watched GnR use ur illusion dvds?or any slash videos in fact..

u'll notice tt tt guy alwaes dashes across the stage during their shows.how do u control ur effx wen doing so?

like use ur illusions part II,he went up the ramp thing while playing sweet child of mine solo. dont u need wah for tt?
 
Maybe like all the TV shows, 'guitar-synch', hehe.

Hmm, perhaps they install a wah there as well?

For other things, maybe the guitar-tech triggers it backstage or something.
 
ehh...from what i saw in mayday dvd...the guitarists run all over the place..and their personal guitar assistance help them to trigger the effx when the time comes...but some band prefered to control the efx themselve
 
yeah..if they control the effx themselves, how do they dash about?

i think it'll feel weird if some1 else triggers it for u..feels diff..n imagine while u dash towards the front wen u're about to play the solo, ur sound changes..worse still if the tech triggers the wrong effect 8O ..
 
that seldom happens i think..cos the guitar assist and the guitarist would have work for quite sometime and haf discuss on wat timing to hit on the efx when they r rehearsing...tts y rehearsin r very impt before concerts...

as for those guitarist tt step efxs themselve...i rmb watchin tis video of mark tremonti...he got like..4 to 5 wahs all over the stage..so where ever he go..theres a wah there..hhaha..pretty cool if u ask me..

be more careful la..or hide them beneath the stage or any areas where might not trip over them?
 
easiest solution..DON'T PLAY WITH EFFECTS. no gas, no tripping over long cable runs, no dying batteries, no dying patch cables, no tone suck..and MORE MONEY FOR BEER :D
 
like itachi said some guitarist haf many2 wahs all over the stage. saw this vid once, kirk had quite a few wahs on stage. one moment he at the other end wahing, next moment he at the other, also wahing. when ur a bigshot, these kinda things are the last things ur bothered with when ur having a concert.

yeah and i tink most let their guitar techs do the efx switching. in that metallica vid i saw, u can see them rocking on stage and in the background, the techs busily working. running about back stage n stuff. kinda cool man. all guitar players wish to haf that kinda set to play on...

yeah, like petrucci. he controls his own efx most of the the time and stays in one corner.

if the effect is wah, so the assistance will happy happy stomp on the wah? :lol:
 
of cos the assist will not anyhow play wif the wahs or other efx if its unneeded la...surly they wun wanna ruin the concert...hahaha...
 
haha i think its controlled by sth....like if u watch Megadeth play....Dave mustaine does not have any efx on the floor...not tt i can see....but the minute he plays his solos theres like a noticable boost and delay automatically....dunno how they do it..........
