how do i use the whammy bar?

can anyone tell me how does the whammy bar work?
is it not working because im using a 10watt amp?

And to answer your question.
No, it does not matter if you are using a 10watt or 100watt amp, the whammy bar on your guitar has nothing to do with the amp.

The whammy bar allows you to change the pitch, by manually pulling it up or down.

the whammy bar is a device attached to the bridge to give tremolo-like effects. when you waggle the bar up or down, it tugs on to those springs at the back, and causes the strings to loosen, and the pickups magnetically receive the string vibrations, and send it to the amp, outputting your pitch bended tone.

hold down the bar to have the pitch lowered. depress it to raise the pitch. do a natural harmonic and raise/lower the bar to get a killer kamikaze divebomb. scrape it against the strings to imitate a turntable. lots of uses.

and, its not the amp. the whammy is as it is.

Actually, its vibrato-like effects.

A Tremolo is the effect of raising and lowering volume.

Vibrato is alteration of pitch.

And I always make the mistake of calling the Vibrato unit on the guitar a tremolo! :lol:

i mean, how deep must it go? (sounds weird)

somehow. mine i screw in. bridge cant move.

You should screw your whammy bar into the allotted hole as deep as you can, or as tight as you can. Make sense doesn' it?

But I don't really get what you mean by your bridge not being able to move?
Does your Samick have a floyd rose?
