How do i use SAMPLES (808 Bass Drop) for LIVE SHOWS?

Hi guys, im a total idiot when it comes to the technical gearish side of drumming so i was wondering if anyone can help me out.

SEE, I got a Yamaha tp65 pad from a friend but i have ABSOLUTELY have no idea how to use it.
Do i need to buy a multi effects thing like the ones electric kits have or are there other alternatives?

If so can anyone reccomend a very basic one just so i can put my own effects like bass drops on it?

You'll need an e-drum module (brain) or equivalent midi controller/sampler.
