Hey guys, I just got my guitar and amp. I got the tokai fb-53 and the soundrive sg-15. But.. i'm have no clue on how to produce a kind of pop punk style of sound from my amp. I tried messing around with the knobs. But still cant get the correct tone. Do i need a distortion pedal ? Help me pls

ur amp settings canot too much treble n bass. if u wana get a pop punk sound, treble highest followed by middle and bass only until level 1 or 2. for a metal sound, max the treble n bass and dun give a shit on middle. haha.

wait. It differs for everyone, for example, maybe to you,for a pop punkish and metal tone, you use that way,but for others, its different? One man's food may be another man's poison. Hahaha.

t3rr3nc3z - My suggestion is to fiddle around with the amp settings till you get a near possible (may not be accurate) tone. Cos you don't know what those pop-punk players out there use. Playing style + equipment (eg,pickups, amps, pedals, blahblah.)
You may also try to lookup the various bands that you like,as in the tone for the particular song, from the internet. Or another way is to look at what gear they're using.
However,it's just in my opinion only. Again, different people have different ways. =D

Okay thanks for the info. I play songs from all time low. they use a Mesa(Boogie) 4x12 Standard Rectifier Cab with Duel and Triple Rectifier Solo Heads
