Home Studio Set Up

Hello! I'm a newbie here. My family loves to play instruments at home and we would like to do this quietly so we don't disturb the neighbors. We have an electronic drum set, keyboard, an electric guitar and electric bass. We just want to have a proper mix and hear the output via headphones and maybe do some simple recording. I plan to get a mixer and connect the instruments (the guitars via DI), out to headphone amp, and then to our headphones. Is this a proper set up or is there a better one(more cost effective/better sound)?

Make sure you use some sort of DI or amp/cab simulators when plugging your guitar or bass in the jamhub, tried it without and it sounded like crap
