I was just rotting around and thought of this =/
Am just really curious to know.

I grew up from a family where I'm exposed to Hokkien music. So I assume there are others out there who are same with me ^_^

Well, personally I would choose neither.
But if i really had to choose, I would choose Hokkien pop/rock. Lol. Techno makes my head hurts like shit. =//// And also, there are some Hokkien songs that has really meaningful lyrics (though they are super unclebeng-ish).

So.. What's your take on it?

theres diverse differences in different form of background, sound, music and lifestyle. All connected in some ways of another, which indirectly affect the frequency of our mind in viewing different music.

Whats important, should be on the knowledgement and acceptance of diversity and at ease with oneself, environment and culture.

the choice to choose, in certain situation, result in limiting of oneself towards the bigger picture. There is no wrong or right. At most, we just cant see things infront of us, even though its there.

Still, knowledgement, acceptance and at ease with ourself and around us. There will be less doubts, unhappiness and dilemma. Thus, being a part of the bigger self, in this context, the world.

I'm also exposed to hokkien pop/rock because my father listens to it.. Haha. Some of their guitar solos are not bad... My impression of hokkien pop/rock is that their music videos always got some very sexy old woman dancing in the background.. Right?

About chinese techno... like quite shit... especially when 石欣卉 release her album, I always have an impression that chinese techno always copy the rhythm and tune of those techno songs and only change the lyrics.. I don't really like chinese techno and people like 石欣卉.....

LOL sexy old women?!? Thank God I havent come across them. =/

I think that Chinese Techno is shit because it thumps like mad and the singer's voice sounds horribly distorted and yes, it seems like all chinese techno music sounds the same, thumping and wrecking havoc in your ears. ._.

Hokkien METAL!!!

O_O TEH EPITOME OF MUSIC.
8DDDDD

I'm quite partial to chinese funeral music myself, nothing beats a void deck gig.
